Evan's wardrobe inventory

I'm listing all of Evan's stuff. Help me decide what I need more of, if I do need more of anything.

  • 9 newborn short sleeve onesies (6 of these are washed, the other 3 I'm leaving the tags on to see if he'll actually fit into them)
  • 2 newborn pants (unwashed)
  • 2 newborn long sleeved bodysuits
  • 1 0-3m long sleeved shirt
  • 3 0-3m long sleeved sleepers
  • 2 0-3m outfit sets (onesie, overalls, jacket) (long sleeved shirt, pants)
  • 1 0-3m romper
  • 1 0-3m denim overalls
  • 1 3m outfit set (fleece overalls & shirt)
  • 5 3-6m short sleeve onesies (that were noticeably smaller than all the other 3-6 m clothes, just a little bigger than the newborn onesies, so maybe he can wear them sooner?)
  • 3 fleece sleep sacks
  • 1 cotton sleep sack
  • 2 cotton gowns
  • 1 pair of newborn shoes
  • Countless socks of all sizes
  • Several caps, newborn thru 3-6 m
  • 2 burp clothes
  • 5 hooded towels
  • 4 washclothes
  • 6 bibs
  • 3 feeding bibs
  • 3 small tab blankets
  • 4 fleece blankets
  • 1 cotton blanket
  • 8 receiving blankets
  • 4 Swaddle Me blankets
  • 2 nursing pillows
  • 3 pacifiers

At this point I think I may need more burp clothes. Maybe more 0-3 month clothes??? Maybe some more light weight blankets...heavier than receiving blankets, but not as heavy as the fleece blankets? I also think I may want to buy some no scratch mits. What about booties and shoes, or can he just wear socks until he starts walking? Is there anything missing? I'm going to the consignment shop next week and so I want to go ahead and buy things I know I'll need instead of waiting until just after he comes. Might as well do it now when I have time.

  2. Let me just say- sometimes you have to change baby 3 times a day. Sometimes they get milk all over themself, or have blowout diapers. So I would buy another pack of newborn size onesies.

You have enough towels, socks and blankets.

DEFINITELY more burp cloths and bibs and washcloths!

I think you need more 0-3 month onesies/outfits. It'll be cold so get long-sleeved onsies. You may want some cotton pants to match them to keep his legs warm.

My rule is to have at least 12 outfits per week because of all the messes. You want enough so that you're not doing laundry literally every day!

  3. P.S. You asked to see Zoe's clothes and I'll do a post about them soon. Maybe this next post for my 29th week post I will!

  4. When my kids were first born I really liked the gowns. They were so nice and their legs are still like "froggy" legs and don't stretch out, So the legs of outfits are just floppy and their legs are up by their tummies. I am no expert, its just what I liked.

  5. You definitely need more burp cloths. I went through about 20 a day when E was a newborn. Now I usually only use one a day.
